Great website!! You know, I can still feel the old "side-2-side" sway of TCB and hear the dry twang of you playing that unplugged red strat on the couch -- no one can make it sound better. And hey, I finally got to meet Phil Keaggy. He asked how you were doing. Take care and e-me. Joey
Hey Greg, There are a few job openings in the bindrey, whata you think! Larry
Fantastic site. As a semi-pro slide/harp player for over 25 years (and a Kentuckian since I was a child), I was pleasantly surprised to find so many blues influences of mine represented. Truly, this site (the choice of music anyway) is clearly the choice of a slide player. Even non-slide songs hit the mark.
Just great in every way. I suggest that you include a tune or two from Roy Rogers (the slide guitarist) who is a major influence for me. He has several cd's out, a website, etc. There are many great songs, but I like an older one, "Ramblin' on My Mind" which rocks with great slide and a swinging rhythm section. Yet he has many others which display great slide.
Best of luck ... thanks for all the tunes.
Just another note ... have you played any Dave Hole? You probably already are aware of this, but even though he can't sing a lick, he's one heck of a slide player with 3 or 4 cd's to his name. From Australia.
greg, geat show man. i am in the us air force and stationed in missourri. its nice to be able to hear a piece of back home kentucky on the computer. keep up the good work man. Jared

Hi Greg,
Just introducing a brother to your site. Looking great for the holidays :-)

I live in San Diego and don't know Jack [Daniels] about Kentucky. Am I gobblophile if I like 8-year old Wild Turkeys? Does all that "bluegrass" that you smoke there make the blues the preferred music? Is the "Cumberland Gap" some new fangled accessory that you get when renting a tuxedo? Is the "Briar Pistol" weapon in the Jedi Knight [Lucas] game to be used by Ohioans on their neighbors across the river? Is the first Saturday in May [Run for the Roses] the start of a race to get a good seat for the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena on New Years Day? It's all a bunch of Dink[le] to me anyway. I'll have mine on the rocks, please. "Champ" Payne

Hey Greg, I'm glad I visited your place. I think its neat. Check my site. The URL is http://www.erols.com/jdkiv/
Brother Greg, I love your site!!! I've sent it to a few folks and to the members of my former Christian Blues band "Change"! This is what I call effective ministry in this carnal world. I am currently working on designing a web site of my own that will feature Blues I have produced and that of others. The site will be geared to reach out to the down-and-out segment of our society. This segment has not been effectively reached by the church in my opinion. God has put a burden on my heart to encourage folks by speaking their language. I know you don't know me except that I'm your sister in Jesus, but I ask you to pray for this new ministry on behalf of our Lord Jesus and be in agreement God's will will be done! Thank you Greg. I want you to know I also agree with you that Duane Allman was the greatest blues & slide guitarist there ever was! I will stay in touch with you and keep you updated on the progress of the site. God bless you Greg, keep on keeping on!!

The Headhunters are my all time favorite country/ blues group. I learned to play lead guitar by playing alot of Greg's licks. They are also down to earth without letting success get to there head. Hope things are going well for you. Look forward to seeing you again, maybe when you come to Martinsville, IN. It's only about 45 minutes away. Take care and God Bless. Keep on pickin', Billy

I live in Munfordville. We love you and your family. You have remained real people even with the success you've had. Thanks, C J
Great stuff!!
Have you listened to our show -- Smokestack Lightnin'?
Yours in the blues, Paul
Greg, great show! This is my maiden voyage to your site.It kicks! The East coast is a hot bed for this style of blues. I just started playing a blues joint in Charleston,S.C. They had a group called the MoJo Blues Band, these cats had the smoothest groove you have ever heard. The kicker is THEY ARE NOT AMERICAN! All of these dudes are Austrian or German! But, they sound like they just walked out of the swamp in New Orleans. Keep spinnin' that plastic and stay cool. DJ
